Reserves exposure to non-SDR sovereign debt increases

US Treasuries and gold remain the most prominent asset classes

Sovereign debt issued in currencies that are not part of the special drawing right (SDR) basket saw the highest percentage increase in reserve allocations year on year, data from the Reserve Benchmarks 2026 reveals.
