Zimbabwe tallies progress towards de-dollarisation

Sustained single-digit inflation and greater demand for local currency are still needed, central bank says

The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) has provided an update on the progress being made against the conditions it says need to be met before a market-driven transition to a mono-currency can take place. Although the bank said that some of these conditions had been “100%” met, there had been only limited progress on others, such as lowering inflation and increasing demand for local currency.
