Bank of Israel extends credit benefits for war-affected citizens

Three-month extension follows escalation of conflict with Hezbollah

Israel’s central bank has extended its credit assistance programme to people and businesses affected by the military action against Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

The Bank of Israel said on September 22 that it was extending the programme for the fourth time. It said the extension, which would last for three months before a new intended expiry date at the end of December, would help to ease the cash flow situation for people directly affected by the conflict.
