A business-funded think-tank has accused Reserve Bank of New Zealand governor Adrian Orr of breaching the central bank’s code of conduct.

New Zealand Initiative, a pro-free-market organisation, made the allegation in a letter to finance minister Nicola Willis and RBNZ chair Neil Quigley. Willis told reporters on May 31 that she would leave the matter to Quigley.

The letter is the latest move in a public dispute between the group and the RBNZ.
