Argentine president names Pesce to full six-year term as governor

Moves comes as IMF reaches preliminary agreement on next loan tranche

The president of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, has named Miguel Ángel Pesce to a full six-year term as governor of the central bank. Pesce has served as governor since December 2019.

The decree appointing Pesce, issued on September 17, also named deputy governor Sergio Adrián Woyecheszen to a six-year term. He has been deputy since January 2020.
