The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City refused a request from an opposition senator to release material about the closing of a fintech company’s master account.

Pat Toomey, Republican senator for Pennsylvania, wrote to Kansas City Fed president Esther George on June 8 requesting the information, Bloomberg reported. He wrote: “It is critical that the Federal Reserve system be transparent with the public and Congress on all matters.”
