Reserve managers stick to asset diversification

Higher yields not prompting central banks to abandon investments in less conventional asset classes

Most reserve managers will proceed with the asset diversification of their portfolios despite higher sovereign bond yields.

Overall, 53% of respondents to HSBC Reserve Management Trends 2022 reported higher yields will not have an impact on diversification in their portfolios, while 23% said it will slow down the pace of diversification, and 21% said it will increase their plans to add new asset classes or current allocations to unconventional assets.
