Tao Zhang leaves deputy’s role at end of tenure; IT and HR directors resign

The International Monetary Fund has announced the departure of one of its deputy managing directors and two other senior officials.

Tao Zhang, who has served as IMF deputy managing director, will leave office when his five-year term ends on August 20. Zhang was the IMF’s executive director for China from 2011 to 2015. The IMF announced his departure on June 7, saying it had started a process to appoint his successor.

Before joining the IMF, Zhang spent much of his career at the People’s Bank
