Key Brexit vote complicates outlook for UK economy

Vote this evening leaves UK’s political and economic future uncertain

The outlook for the UK economy is clouded as the national parliament prepares for a key vote on Brexit later today (January 15), which the government looks set to lose.

Lawmakers have spent the day locked in debate over amendments to the UK’s withdrawal bill, which sets out the country’s future relationship with the European Union. While a vote on the amendments is scheduled for 7pm local time, a vote on the final agreement could come much later.
