Bank of Finland looking to streamline and upgrade payments simulator

Economist sheds light on the bank’s plans for adding new features

The Bank of Finland has been tinkering with its payment system simulator since the model's inception in 1997, and the small simulator team is now working on making it faster, more user-friendly, and more powerful, an economist at the central bank tells Central Banking.

Version 7.0.0 came out in June, adding an automated stress-testing system, modelling for central counterparties, a prototype task automation tool and other enhancements.
