Central banks that adopt new artificial intelligence tools must be careful not to “outsource” their critical thinking, speakers at the Central Banking Meetings London said on June 10.

One central banker from an institution in Europe said it was essential to retain control of critical thinking. “As soon as a corporate entity starts outsourcing their critical thinking, it’s over,” they said.
