FDIC to review sexual misconduct and discrimination allegations

Agency promises ‘independent review’ as chair faces charges of improper behaviour

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) will investigate reports of systemic sexual misconduct and discrimination at the agency, following a damning Wall Street Journal report.

Follow-up reports added new allegations of inappropriate behaviour against the agency’s chair, Martin Gruenberg, and other senior officials.
