San Francisco Fed president says the number is unsurprising

The debate on private equity job creation reignites

US non-farm payroll employment grew by 517,000 in January, showing the continued strength of the country’s labour market despite tighter monetary policy. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) published the data on February 3.

Mary Daly, president of the San Francisco Fed, called the jobs report “a wow number”.
