Ukrainian ex-governor attacks claim he is hiding from probe

Shevchenko says investigation is “politicised” after agency puts him on "wanted list"

Ukraine’s recently resigned central bank governor has strongly denied claims by the country’s official anti-corruption body that he is refusing to co-operate with its investigation.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (Nabu) said publicly on October 24 that it had put Kyrylo Shevchenko and other people on a “wanted list”. It said that Shevchenko had left the country but refused to make his whereabouts known to Nabu.

But Shevchenko angrily denied Nabu’s claims in a statement on Facebook on
