What were your main priorities when you became general manager of the Bank for International Settlements in December 2017? What have you achieved so far?

I have been very closely involved with the BIS since 2010 – back when I was governor of Banco de México – and even before that as a member of the Financial Stability Board [FSB]. The BIS played an extraordinary role during the great financial crisis [GFC], not only supporting the work of the FSB, but also that of the Basel Committee. Priority
