Danish central bank denies suffering breach in SolarWinds hack

Media reports claimed central bank had been exposed for seven months

The National Bank of Denmark has denied media reports claiming its systems were compromised by last year’s SolarWinds hacking attack.

The central bank issued a statement today (June 30) also rejecting allegations that the cyber attack had created a backdoor to its systems, which some reports claimed had remained open for seven months.

The institution acknowledges its systems were exposed, like those of other 18,000 organisations, to vulnerabilities in SolarWinds’s software via the central bank
