What were your main priorities when you took office in March 2016?

I was not a newcomer when I joined – my first professional job, between 1993 to 1996, was with the National Bank of Georgia [NBG], so I was aware of how the central bank works and knew people here. When I took office, I first wanted to understand all the main issues I needed to deal with so I could define and prioritise my strategy over my seven-year term.
