IMF-World Bank spring meetings to go virtual

Institutions opt not to bring thousands of delegates to Washington, DC

The International Monetary Fund and World Bank are to hold “virtual” spring meetings this year, as the threat of the coronavirus led the institutions to avoid the annual gatherings in Washington, DC.

Instead of attending in person, the thousands of delegates who would normally attend will have to watch livestreams of the conference via their computers.
