The former governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), Valeria Gontareva, has said her house in Ukraine has been burned to the ground in what she alleged was an arson attack linked to her role in cleaning up the country’s banking sector.

Police in Kiev have opened a formal investigation into the fire and are treating it as a criminal case.
