Yellen weighs in on Trump’s potential Fed nominations

Those “who come with a political view” may not get much traction at FOMC meetings, Yellen says

Former Federal Reserve chair Janet Yellen indirectly warned about President Donald Trump’s latest picks for the central bank’s board, saying that the culture within meetings does not leave much room for politics.

“A couple of individuals will find it difficult, who come with a political view, to have a great deal of influence,” Yellen said in discussion with Dallas Fed president Robert Kaplan on April 10.
