ECB still short of 2019 gender targets

ECB may restart recruitment processes if not enough women apply for roles

The European Central Bank has made up ground on its gender targets after missing interim goals in 2017, but it still has a way to go, according to data in the central bank’s latest annual report.

At the end of 2018, 29% of management positions were held by women, compared with a target of 35% by the end of 2019. In 2017, the central bank missed its interim target of 24% by 7 percentage points.
