Sveriges Riksbank has kept its plans to continue increasing interest rates in 2019 unchanged, the central bank said today (February 13).

The decision comes despite the global economic slowdown, and the looser policies adopted by many central banks globally since the beginning of the year. The executive board voted unanimously in favour of the measures. Deputy governor Per Jansson, who voted against the rate hike in December, could not take part in the meeting due to personal reasons.
