Investors should not be concerned about revote – Kenya’s Njoroge

Governor is confident whoever wins October revote will pursue market-based policies

The governor of the Central Bank of Kenya has said investors should not be concerned about the outcome of the country’s upcoming repeat election, given the leading candidates’ similar stance on economic policy.

Speaking to Central Banking journal, Patrick Njoroge says “whoever wins will pursue market-based economic policies”.

“I look at our American colleagues, citizens and friends, and at times you see huge changes and differences in the rhetoric. There is none of that for Kenya,” he says.
