Where have all the women gone?

Number of women working at central banks has increased substantially, but glass ceiling appears to remain for those reaching for senior management positions

Greta Kuckhoff is not a name many will be familiar with. Some will associate her with German resistance group the Red Orchestra, which was active during World War II. Others, however, may remember her as a pioneer for women in public policy and economics. She was the first female to govern a central bank.
