Kenyan government takes 40% stake in De La Rue’s Kenyan factory

British banknote printer De La Rue has entered into a joint venture with the Kenyan government as part of its recent manufacturing review, the firm announced on August 18.

As part of the arrangement, the Kenyan government will pay £5 million ($6.6 million) for a 40% stake in the company's wholly-owned subsidiary, De La Rue Kenya EPZ.
