Indec releases first offical figures in six months

Argentina's statistical agency, Indec, has released its first official inflation data following an overhaul in how the data is produced. Prices rose 4.2% in May, the agency announced on June 15.

Professor Steve Hanke, economist at the Johns Hopkins University and founder of the Troubled Currencies Project believes the figure should "not surprise anyone".
