Nalm Asia 2013: Asia ‘not shaken' by QE exit talk, says the Philippines' Tuano-Amador

Increased expectation that the Federal Reserve would begin 'tapering' its asset purchase programme has caused significant fund outflows from emerging markets over the past couple of months.

But the reversal of fund flows from emerging markets has left most Asian economies "stirred" rather than "shaken" by events due to the region's solid economic fundamentals, according to Maria Cyd Tuano-Amador, assistant governor of the Central Bank of the Philippines.
