Outgoing Serbian vice-governor fearful over repercussions of law change

A vice-governor of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS), Bojan Marković, who resigned on August 6, has told CentralBanking.com of his fears for the "long-term repercussions" of changes to the country's central bank law.

The controversial amendments were passed on August 4, and required the reappointment of the central bank's entire senior management – the governor, four vice-governors and five members of the Council of the Governor – within 90 days.
