Ukrainian hackers claim attack on Russian banks

Cyber attack targets Bank of Russia’s interbank system, disrupting payments

Russian interbank payments services were disrupted by a cyber attack on June 8, around the time Ukraine’s conventional military counter-offensive started.

Hackers targeted Moscow-based internet service provider, Infotel, which runs the Bank of Russia’s interbank system. The attacks resulted in blocked payments, Ukrainian news site Economichna Pravda first reported.
