IMF demands reinforced inflation targeting in Argentina

A new central bank charter should reinforce independence, fund says

The support programme approved by the International Monetary Fund for Argentina on June 20 aims to reinforce the inflation targeting regime, as well as the independence of the central bank, says a staff report published by the fund on July 13.
