Bank of Tanzania director says country is securing price stability

Tanzania's tight monetary policies are helping usher the country towards a period of single-digit inflation and buoyant growth, according to the central bank's director of economic research and policy, Joseph Masawe.

His comments to CentralBanking.com follow a statement from an International Monetary Fund (IMF) assistant director, Paulo Mauro, who praised the Tanzanian economy for "continuing to perform strongly" following his visit to the country.
