Raid on central bank ‘an attempt to shoot the messenger’, minister says, then resigns
Slovenia's finance minister, Dusan Mramor, criticised a police raid on the Bank of Slovenia's premises in comments on July 12, saying it was an "attack" on the central bank – before resigning the next day.
Mramor said the investigation into the Bank of Slovenia was an "attempt to shoot the messenger". His remarks were confirmed to CentralBanking.com by a Slovenian finance ministry spokesperson.
The then finance minister said the raid was carried out as "part of an investigation into suspicions
