Basel's Byres says 'single global rulebook' wouldn't work

Wayne Byres, secretary general of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, today argued in a speech that banking regulation should not necessarily be homogenised across all jurisdictions, but said the committee is working to improve the comparability of regulatory capital calculations by banks.
