Central banking both an art and science: Trichet

Central bank policymakers must complement deep and robust analytical work with strong judgement, Jean-Claude Trichet, the president of the European Central Bank, said in an interview published on Tuesday.

In an interview with Kauppalehti and Helsingin Sanomat – two Finnish dailies – Trichet was asked whether he thought central banking was more of an art than a science.
