Bank’s second monetary-policy roundtable
The Bank of England has published a note on its second monetary policy roundtable, run jointly with the Centre for Economic Policy Research and attended by economists from private sector financial institutions, academia and public sector bodies.
The note outlines the main points made by participants at the roundtable on four discussion topics:
• Monetary policy and the current conjuncture;
• Quantitative easing;
• Sterling and capital flows; and
• Lessons from monetary history for the current
