Brash makes his first political speech
Dr Brash's speech notes to business people on Auckland's North Shore were restrained but critical of government policy which he said could not deliver the growth that was needed to improve New Zealanders' lives.
He had left the bank because while maintaining price stability continued "to be hugely important ... we need more" and then went on to float ideas
