Central Bank of Turkey – Inflation Report (Q4 2010)
Weak external demand forced Turkey's central bank to keep interest rates low to avoid disinflationary pressures, the Central Bank of Turkey's Inflation Report for the fourth quarter, published on Tuesday, said.
The report said that although domestic demand was relatively stronger during the third quarter, weak external demand conditions continued to support disinflation, bringing core inflation to historically low levels. As a result, the central bank said, its Monetary Policy Committee
