Kansas City's subprime loan record

Subprime borrowers in the 10th district are having difficulties with payment delinquencies running above the national average, according to a recent report by the Federal Reserve of Kansas City.

However, only 5% of subprime loans are currently in foreclosure compared to the US average of 8%. About 60% of Kansas City area subprime loans are current.

Further Kansas City area subprime loans were originated earlier than the national average with more than 30% dating back to, or before, 2004. The
