FOMC disagrees over monetary policy strategy

The Federal Reserve will not push to see its monetary policy strategy changed any time soon after the minutes from the latest Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting showed disagreement among members on the issue.

The minutes from the November 2 meeting said the staff gave a presentation on alternative monetary policy strategies, which participants discussed, as well as looking at potential approaches for enhancing the clarity of their public communications.
