Hayami: Econ ministers didn't discuss BOJ policy

JAPAN - Bank of Japan Governor Masaru Hayami said Wednesday economic ministers didn't discuss monetary policy at a regular meeting earlier in the day.

"Monetary policy wasn't brought up," Hayami, who also attended the meeting, said.

Hayami declined to comment further on monetary policy due to the "blackout period" banning central bank policymakers from commenting on policy two days ahead and one day after policy board meetings.
