Legal dispute pits Costa Rica central bank against financial supervisor
Regulator has refused to hand over credit data, and central bank has filed criminal charges
A conflict between Central Bank of Costa Rica (BCCR) and its financial regulatory arm escalated on September 1, when the prosecution service raided the offices of the regulator’s oversight council.
