Chinese authorities have charged a former deputy governor of the central bank with accepting bribes.

The state prosecutor’s office in the central city of Huanggang announced it had filed charges against Fan Yifei with a court there.

The supreme people’s procuratorate accused Fan of an extensive pattern of corrupt behaviour throughout his career. The authorities alleged he arranged loans, contracts and employment and was engaged in “illegally accepting property from others” in return
