Slovak prosecutor charges central bank governor with bribery
Kažimir has denied allegations that he sought bribes while serving as finance minister
Prosecutors in Slovakia charged the country’s central bank governor, Peter Kažimir, with bribery and corruption on February 16, media reports said.
The Special Prosecutor’s Office said on its Facebook page it had filed an indictment for bribery against a man identified only as “P K”. It said the indictment related to alleged corruption concerning tax controls in several commercial firms.
Slovak media said “P K” was Kažimir, who has been the subject of a long-running investigation. The National
