IMF research explores effects of lighter rule on US banks

A new International Monetary Fund paper warns the amendments to the regulatory capital requirements currently in place through the Dodd-Frank Act proposed by the US House of Representatives and the Treasury in June would incentivise higher risk-weighted asset (RWA) ratios and risk-taking among major financial institutions.
