EU data protection bodies raise concerns about digital euro
EDPB and EDPS request that ECB explain how it will process and protect data
European Union data protection bodies have called on the European Central Bank (ECB) to clarify some aspects of its proposal for a digital euro.
In a joint opinion published on October 18, the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) and the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS), Wojciech Wiewiórowski, offered recommendations to reinforce data protection.
