Jwala Rambarran says housing policy needs ‘fundamentally rethinking’

The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago's governor, Jwala Rambarran, yesterday painted a "sobering" picture of a housing sector that is increasingly pricing the population out of owning property.

Rambarran was speaking at the launch of a new publication from the central bank – Opening the Door to Your Own Home: A Guide to Home Ownership – aimed at educating the country's populace on the different routes to owning a property and the obstacles facing them.
