Tetangco targets ‘distinct brand’ for Philippines banking
Governor looks to stand out in increasingly integrated region
The Philippine banking industry needs to develop a "distinct brand" to distinguish it from others in the region, according to central bank governor Amando Tetangco.
Tetangco told the Bank Marketing Association of the Philippines that the country needs to "be clear about who we are and what the Philippine banking system stands for", as financial sectors continue to expand beyond borders.
