Benoît Cœuré cites practical barriers to more explicit co-ordination
Benoît Cœuré identified "several" practical barriers to more explicit international monetary policy co-ordination in a speech yesterday, including disagreement on the nature of the spillovers it would be designed to mitigate.
Cœuré, an executive board member at the European Central Bank (ECB), observed that central banks operate under different mandates, time horizons, objectives and accountability arrangements.
So, one of the main barriers would be the difficulty in reaching a consensus
