Merge G20 and IMF: Norway’s Gjedrem

Global governance urgently needs a legally-enshrined international economic order, featuring strong and legitimate multilateral institutions that fairly represent the interests of all members, Svein Gjedrem, the governor of the Norges Bank, said in a speech last Thursday.

"A strong institution like the International Monetary Fund (IMF) must be at the centre of multilateral economic and financial cooperation... To be able to continue to play an effective role, the IMF needs to enjoy confidence
