Denmark's incredible price stability

The past five centuries in Denmark have been dominated by price stability, posits a new paper from the National Bank of Denmark.

The paper presents a consumer price index for Denmark from 1502-2007 which shows that, with one major exception - for the first four decades following the end of the second world war where inflation expectations lost their anchor, price stability was maintained .
